You already use our software
BCBANow is built by Data Makes The Difference, the team behind the VB-MAPP App for Dr. Mark Sundberg and the Essential for Living App for Dr. Patrick McGreevy and Troy Fry. If you have scored a VB-MAPP on a tablet in the last decade, you have used something we made.

Our assessment apps are licensed by the major ABA platforms.
It started with Sarah
Steve and Liz Maher married in 1995. In 1998 their daughter Sarah was diagnosed with autism. She is 27 now.
Everything that followed came out of that. Liz became a BCBA. Steve turned three decades of systems work towards ABA tools. They built the company together, and their son Jacob has since joined it to run sales.
Liz brings the clinical side, Steve the engineering, and both of them twenty-seven years of raising Sarah. Every decision here gets measured against that: does it help the learner, and does it give the practitioner their time back.

Spend the day on learners, not admin
Twenty years of building assessment tools taught us where practitioners actually lose their time, and it is almost never the clinical work. It is the software around it.
Everything in one place
Assessments, data collection, treatment plans, and billing in a single system. Most practices run three or four tools that don't talk to each other, and re-key the same learner into all of them.
Priced for a practice, not an enterprise
Seats cost $15 a month. The established platforms charge several times that and add an implementation fee on top, which quietly puts good software out of reach of small providers.
Clients find you
No other practice-management system brings you the families. Ours does, and we only take a share of the ones we actually matched you with.
The people behind it

Liz Maher, MEd, BCBA
Lead Clinician
Liz has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2008, and spent close to 15 years consulting with teachers across Pennsylvania on Applied Behavior Analysis and Skinner's analysis of verbal behavior.
She is also the mother of a daughter with autism, which means she has met this work from both sides: as the clinician in the room and as the parent on the other side of the table.
Liz is passionate about teaching the science of ABA in a way that isn't intimidating, and about helping the people who live and work with autistic children and adults see how it can make everyone's life better, theirs included.

Steve Maher
President
Steve spent 30 years as a systems administrator, consulting for organisations including the US Navy, Bell Atlantic, The New York Times, Credit Suisse and the United Nations Population Fund.
He now manages development of the VB-MAPP App on behalf of Dr. Mark Sundberg, and the Essential for Living App for Dr. Patrick McGreevy and Troy Fry.
His focus is the unglamorous half of this work: automating the tasks that eat a practitioner's week, so more of their time goes to the learner in front of them.

Jacob Maher
Business Development Lead
Jacob's international business degree and related experience at Data Makes The Difference are key to the company's growth and expansion into new markets in the US and Canada, as well as throughout Europe, North Africa, and Asia.
A dozen translations of the VB-MAPP App now enable the company to conduct business worldwide.

Tanveer Sohal
Chief Technology Officer
Tanveer has spent the last six years building software in healthcare, and leads engineering on BCBANow.
He is unusually keen on hearing what isn't working. Feature requests, bug reports, blunt criticism of a screen he built last week: all of it is welcome, and most of it ends up on the roadmap.
Jenny
Office Manager
Jenny handles accounts receivable, insurance matters, purchase orders, business-partner relationship support, and direct customer support for all of our apps.
Her contributions to the company's rapid growth cannot be overstated.
Partner with us
Become an official BCBANow partner. For larger clinics and multi-site organisations we build enterprise practice management around how you actually work, rather than asking you to bend to the software. You get the team who writes it, and a say in what gets built next. Tell us what you need.
Tell us what's missing
We build this with practitioners, not at them. If something in BCBANow is slow, confusing, or absent, we want to hear it.
